Some recipes are much more than food ― they are family history.
At Beit Elfarasha, located inside a renovated Ottoman gem in the Old City of Akko, Khadija Abd Elgani opens the door to her culinary heritage.
Roll up your sleeves and cook alongside her in our modern, fully equipped kitchen. As she shares the dishes, stories, and secrets that have filled her family’s table for generations.
When the workshop is over, you will not only return home with new skills ― you will leave with a new friend in Akko.

Our initiative is based on two main ideas:
First, to empower local women in Akko, most of whom are housewives.
Second, the cooking workshops conducted by local women are an opportunity to get to know more closely the daily life and lifestyle and customs of the locals in Old Akko.
