Contemporary Photo Exhibition

New in the Museum: “Here & “There” – Contemporary Photo Exhibition. A powerful visual documentation of Kibbutz Hanita’s evacuation and absence during the months, through the lenses of photographers Doron Oved and Maor Alhayani.

Geographic & Strategic Context

Established as the northernmost stronghold during the British Mandate, Hanita became a symbol of the Tower and Stockade (Homa U’Migdal) settlement strategy. The village played a crucial role in shaping the northern borders of Pre-State Israel, serving as a remote outpost in the rugged Western Galilee mountains that demonstrated settlement capabilities along isolated frontier ridges.
