About the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company
The Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company was founded by the late Yehudit Arnon in 1970 at Kibbutz Ga’aton in the Western Galilee. For the past 25 years, the company has been under the artistic direction of Rami Be’er – its house choreographer and principal creator – and is recognized today as one of the most unique and prominent contemporary dance troupes in the world.
Global Acclaim & International Dance Village
The company regularly performs at international festivals and on prestigious stages across Israel and around the globe. Its dancers live, rehearse, and perform in the International Dance Village at Kibbutz Ga’aton.
Each dancer brings exceptional technique, distinct personal expression, and a compelling stage presence. Brought together under Be’er’s artistic vision, they form an ensemble with a relevant, moving, and deeply inspiring artistic statement.
Artistic Vision & Educational Impact
Rami Be’er’s works are characterized by seamless integration of stagecraft, lighting, sound, and movement design—working in complete harmony across both large-scale productions and intimate, chamber-style pieces to define the company’s signature aesthetic.
Beyond their performance commitments, most ensemble members are actively involved in teaching, community engagement, and creative programs at the International Dance Village.
