Moon in Clay: A Winter Sculpting Workshop
Creating Moon Vessels at Studio Lil

Rated 5 out of 5, 1 reviews
Join us at Liat Gilad’s enchanting studio in the heart of Kibbutz Ga'aton. Under the moonlight, we will dive into two and a half hours of shared creativity.
Embracing the dark, wintry atmosphere of this special time of year—inspired by ancient folktales and the soft glow of candlelight—we will craft Moon Vessels: ceramic sculptural pieces that embody the spirit within the clay.
A Moon Vessel is a ceramic sculpture featuring a round body topped with a crescent. In this workshop, we will hand-build these pieces using clay, adding unique textures, decorative details, and personal character. The moon—waxing and waning in its rhythmic cycle—imbues the work with symbolic meaning: themes of change, fullness, emptiness, and tuning into our own inner rhythm.
This artistic object will be a beautiful addition to your home and a personal reminder of a specific intention or wish.
As the clay reveals the earth’s secrets, we will shape it together—guided by the waxing, near-full moon above, which shines like a beacon in the darkness.
Price: 280 NIS per person, including light refreshments and the “moon vessels” you will create yourselves.
Notes: The workshop is not suitable for children. The studio is well-heated and accessible; ample parking is available, and a protected space (shelter) is just a few steps away.
