The Acre Art Gallery is located at the end of Acre’s lively Old City market, near the Artists’ Alley. In this colorful gallery, you’ll find paintings, sculptures, jewelry, Judaica, and more. The gallery showcases a diverse selection of works by dozens of Israeli artists, including young and emerging artists and new immigrants from a variety of cultural and religious backgrounds. It also features artists from Acre and the Galilee, alongside works by renowned Israeli artists such as Menashe Kadishman and Nahum Gutman, as well as pieces from private collections.
The Acre Art Gallery was founded by Moshe Aputa, a passionate art lover, out of his deep appreciation for art, artists, and the city of Acre. Moshe grew up in Safed, surrounded by its alleyways and artists, where his love of art first took root. After many years spent among Safed’s galleries, he decided to open a gallery in Acre to strengthen the connection between the city and the arts.
On your next visit to the gallery, ask Moshe to tell you about the artists and works that are closest to his heart, and to show you the pieces he creates together with his wife.
