About Hurvat Kav
Hurvat Kav is a site from the Byzantine period (around 1,500 years ago). Visitors can see a church with an original mosaic and a winepress. The entire site was part of a monastery
It is recommended to combine the visit with a walk in Rabin Park, which offers playgrounds, a skating area, and many benches for picnics
How to get there
Hurvat Kav is located in the middle of the Rabin neighborhood in Karmiel, within Rabin Park. Drive on Route 85 from Acre toward Kiryat Shmona, then turn right at the western entrance to Karmiel onto Route 784. After about 1 km, turn right toward Karmiel and, at the Motta Gur Bridge, turn left toward the city center onto Nesiei Israel Street. About 100 meters past the first roundabout, turn right into the parking lot, and from there walk approximately 50 meters on foot inside Rabin Park.
We also recommend combining the visit with a stop at TIN TIME Studio in Gil’on, about 10 km from Karmiel
