You arrive at the café after following a path through an orchard and walking up a wooden deck where you may also choose to sit in the heart of nature, and then enter a space bathed in natural light, adding to the pastoral nature of the café. The café offers a kosher dairy menu, and you will enjoy a warm family atmosphere and a rich delicatessen stocked with products of the dairy.
The menu includes a rich breakfast based on a selection of Alto cheeses and served throughout the café’s opening hours. In addition, we offer a selection of handmade, unique, and surprising desserts, that tells the “story of cheese,” all served, of course, alongside Alto’s superb coffee.
The café is kosher under the supervision of the Asher Region Rabbinate.
There is plenty of parking and the café is disabled-accessible.
Alto in Kibbutz Shomrat is a three-generation love story about cheese making and creation; a family business of two parents and five children, all dreaming and working together.
