Tasting History
The Galilean Madafa
At the Galilean Madafa we will experience wild-herb foraging, nature walks, and culinary workshops; savor authentic local cuisine; and enjoy handicraft workshops such as basket-weaving or constructing typical Bedouin chairs and stools.
In the herb-gathering workshops, we will get close to nature, sampling Bedouin plants and cuisine based on locally grown vegetation. As we walk through nature, we will learn about special plants and then use them to prepare and enjoy a rich shared meal.
We’ll play, we’ll sing, and we’ll prepare special kinds of coffee and tea alongside stories about the coffee-making ceremony and Bedouin life in the village of Kaabiyah.
