The Organ Workshop
The Organ Workshop in Yuvalim invites you to a fascinating encounter with a 200-year-old tradition. The visit explores the unique history of synagogue organs, their evolution over the centuries, and their connection to Reform Judaism.
Your experience begins with hot drinks and light refreshments, followed by a tour of the visitor center displaying a variety of historic organs and a photo exhibition highlighting instruments built by founder Gideon Shamir – Israel’s sole organ builder. Afterwards, gather for a personal session with current workshop owner Uri Shani, who will share captivating stories behind the Jewish organ, culminating in a live demonstration concert.
