Tour Guide Ofek Ron Carmel

Ofek is a tour guide with an emphasis on photography, foraging and cooking wild plants in nature, and inspiring human encounters.

As a child, Ofek grew up in Japan and absorbed Japanese beauty, aesthetics, and culture.

After his military service as a photographer for the newspaper “Bamahane”, he went on a number of photo trips around Asia and presented exhibitions at the Embassy of Japan, the University of Haifa, and more. Upon his return to Israel, he decided to guide trips in Israel in general and in the Galilee in particular out of a belief in “adventure within driving distance” – a trip in our Galilee provides world-class landscapes, attractions, and culture, really close to home and heart.

Ofek Ron-Carmel decided to guide tours to share with travelers his love for the Land of Israel through its landscapes and people. Ofek has years of experience in guiding youth, children, families, and adults from Israel and the world in various settings.

In addition, Ofek initiated a smartphone photography workshop, which was delivered to thousands of people in the field, through Zoom and provides practical tools for taking excellent photos via mobile.

Trips with Ofek combine stories that expand horizons, inspiring human encounters and surprising tastes from nature.
