Basma Hino, the owner of the Noor Restaurant, is a woman of great strength and mental fortitude. Her husband, Marcel, was injured and killed in an operational activity during his reserve service. Her son, Noor, was born 4 months after the injury and the restaurant is named after him.

Noor is a stylish Druze restaurant, founded by Basma Hino in the center of the village of Julis. Basma, an IDF widow, founded the place with a lot of faith and a lot of joy for life. The restaurant is named after her son - Noor.
The restaurant offers Druze breakfasts based on local flavors and served in traditional dishes. The breakfast includes a variety of dishes such as fattoush salad, hummus prepared on-site, baba ganoush salad, labneh balls, and Druze pita with a special filling, along with the local shakshuka.
Desserts & Group Encounters
At the end of the meal, you can enjoy black coffee with Basma’s knafe or other sweet treats, and if you are lucky, you can also hear her story. You can also order meals for groups or families that include a meeting with Basma, who will share her personal story.
