Ecological Design, History & Regional Context
Spanning dozens of acres at the foot of Ma’alot-Tarshiha, this human-made reservoir and surrounding parkland were designed to integrate sustainable environmental management with regional tourism. Powered by natural runoff and regional springs, the lake’s ecosystem supports various aquatic birds and plant species, serving as an urban green lung and a key leisure landmark in the Upper Western Galilee.
