Bahar is a home for people — an inspiring, enabling, pleasant, and quiet space in front of a gorgeous panoramic view from Hermon to the Mediterranean Sea, in a mountainous village. Two types of trips can be combined with a visit to Bahar:
A tour of Hararit that includes the story of the village and an explanation of the villages of the area based on spiritual communities that were organized based on a spiritual idea or unique ways of life. On the tour, we will hear about Hararit as part of a web of various mystical groups living in the Galilee region.
After the explanation, we will continue to Netofa, near the mountain, where there is a community of solitary nuns who live a life of prayer and asceticism in the heart of nature. We will hear their story and the story of the establishment of the community.
The tour goes through magical nature, through views of the Galilee to the prayer cave of the nuns, and back to the compound in the mountain.
The tour can be done independently or accompanied by tour guides who guide the trip with explanations and close guidance.
2. A Trip & Meetings with Spiritual People & Artists in Hararit
Hararit, a special and unique village at the edge of the mountain, has over the years attracted intellectuals, artists, and special people that are worth getting to know. On a tasting tour through Hararit, we will meet a variety of people from the village and hear their stories:
Aviv Netzer: Born and raised in Hararit and learned to be a “lama” – a teacher of Tibetan Buddhism. Aviv will share about her childhood experiences in Hararit, about the teachings of the Buddha and we will end with a short meditation that Aviv will lead to experience the idea of meditation that was the symbol of the Hararit village.
Shir Super: A musician specializing in healing sounds. In his studio, a collection of ancient musical instruments from around the world is displayed and a song will present the various instruments and entertain our time with soothing meditative sounds.
Ali Kauf: A native of Hararit who traveled the world and returned to Hararit as an artist and Indian spiritual teacher. We will visit Ali at the Center for Ancient Medicines that he established in Hararit where we will learn about special ceremonies such as the ‘svetlog’ (Indian sweat tent) and more.
Gil Ron: A musician and storyteller who captivates the audience with his story in a fascinating way with a wealth of knowledge and a unique flavor.
You can combine a meal at the end of each tour.
Dalia & Boaz Ben Izhak moved to the Galilee in 2000 and fulfilled a dream. Boaz is an organizational consultant who accompanies organizations and communities in processes of change, growth, and development and Dalia is the owner and manager of Bahar. A meeting at the Bahar Center will allow you to hear their story — a story of entrepreneurs who have always followed their heart and today their heart is in Hararit.
