In honor of Tu B’Shvat and the approaching spring, there will be two foraging tours in February and you are invited to join.
“Come to the Tribe” ― A Foraging Tour in Nature with Guide Wefqi Salamna
A foraging tour guided by Wefqi Salamna, owner of the Galilean Madafa, a Bedouin accommodation complex in the village of Kaabiyah. Wefqi is a certified guide and expert in Bedouin history, culture, and heritage. The tour will take place in the forest between Alon HaGalil and Kaabiyah, and includes foraging, cooking in nature, and a vegetarian meal.

Foraging Workshops & Nature Meals with Sweet Moments
Foraging and cooking workshops are held between December and April in the Druze village of Jat, with Nohad Bisan. After the harvest, a cooking workshop and shared meal are held, which can be held at Nohad’s home or in the family olive grove.

A nature tour at a location that varies depending on the seasons. Foraging wild plants, seeds, sprouts, stems, leaves, and fruits, and at the end of the foraging – cooking and a shared meal in nature.

Tours to forage wild and edible plants guided by hosts from the villages of the Galilee. The tours include explanations about edible and medicinal wild plants and how to identify poisonous plants. At the end of the tour, there is a cooking workshop and a shared meal.
