It was exactly one year ago this October that a brand-new stream was “born” here in the Galilee; thanks to the “Reverse National Water Carrier” project, it has been flowing continuously ever since. This is a groundbreaking global precedent — the first place in the world to implement technology that channels desalinated seawater back into a stream bed to revitalize it and restore its ecosystem! The past year has demonstrated nature’s remarkable ability to recover quickly. Now is a fantastic opportunity to visit and see for yourself how the steady, continuous flow of water has completely transformed the landscape — bringing life and greenery back to a once-dry riverbed and turning it into a bustling oasis surrounded by clear, inviting wading pools.

After a vehicle shuttle, we will embark on a scenic, linear trail approximately 6.5 kilometers long — perfect for hikers, with a difficulty level ranging from easy to moderate.
