A recommendation for an accessible route throughout the Western Galilee. Suitable for all seasons and all ages!

The Cafe and Gallery of the Kamah Center – Harduf Clinic Community is located in Kibbutz Harduf in a pastoral location surrounded by vegetation. The Cafe and Gallery are part of a therapeutic employment center. The products of the workshops are displayed for sale on the shelves: baking, weaving, paper, and ceramics made by the members of Beit Elisha. The Cafe offers light meals based on fresh ingredients, most of which grow in the local vegetable garden, along with juices squeezed on site and hot drinks. The delicious and fresh cakes and cookies are baked every morning in the bakery by the residents of the place with great love and are another reason to come to the place.
After the visit to the beautiful Kamah Cafe & Gallery, we will continue for a trip through nature, with the car, on the scenic road in the Ahihud Forest. Don’t miss the spectacular viewpoints!
The Ahihud Forest covers about 8,000 dunams (a little under 2000 acres). On the road between Akko and Tzfat, in front of the entrance to Gilon, you will find a scenic road that can be driven along by a private car. Along the way, there are several observation points on the Karmiel, Zvulun Valley and Haifa Bay. It is recommended to travel from east to west. Throughout the forest, you will find organized parking lots with shaded picnic tables sitting in a natural grove of eucalyptus, oak, and cypress.
Directions: drive on the Akko-Karmiel road (road 85) until the Gilon junction. At the Gilon junction turn north and immediately discover the left turn to Drech Nof Yaer Ahihud, in front of the “Dor” gas station.
And now a visit to a special ecological museum in Kfar Sha’ab. It is also worth walking a bit in the village itself.

The Ecological Museum in the village of Sha’ab displays the sculptures of artist Waseem Buka’i, a resident of Sha’ab, whose main raw material for his works is industrial metal waste. The museum was established in cooperation with the Sha’ab Local Council and with the assistance of the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
Waseem creates his sculptures from scrap metal, such as car exhaust pipes, motorcycle parts, and more.
And the perfect way to end the trip – a glass of wine and good cheese in front of an amazing view at Kishor Winery in Kishorit

A unique boutique winery that includes a vineyard, a new visitor center, and a unique activity that integrates people with special needs. The Kishor Winery is located in Kibbutz Kishorit, on the upper western Galilee mountain range, overlooking the sea, and breathing the air of the mountains. There you can taste the winery’s wines, eat, and enjoy the amazing view and clear mountain air.
We hope you have an amazing trip, feel welcome to share your experiences with us at akko.office@westgalil.org.il
