If you want to enjoy atmospheric, quiet accommodation and wake up to a mountainous landscape, Chateau du Roi is the place. The boutique stay is an excellent option for restaurant and bar guests who wish to continue the Chateau experience, enjoy a dreamy stay, and have an indulging breakfast.

Guests can also take the Chateau du Roi Tour, including the historic cellar.

Rooms & Historic Restoration

Currently, Chateau du Roi offers eight accommodation units, including two lovely double rooms located directly above the historic Frankish-period (Crusader) wine factory.

The rooms are furnished to a high standard while maintaining a classic and authentic touch. Additional hospitality units inside the King’s Castle walls, including the fourth castle tower, are currently being restored.

History & Heritage

Chateau du Roi is housed in a historic building connected to a 12th-century Crusader fortress, originally built by King Baldwin III to serve as a strategic fortress overlooking Mount Meron.

This project began about two decades ago as the life’s work of Salma Assaf – a resident of Mi’ilya village, an avid antiquities enthusiast, and a history graduate – alongside her late husband, Labib Assaf. Today, the site brings together Italian cuisine, country charm, history, and cordial hospitality for an unforgettable experience.
