In Your Own Hands: Wood Carving Workshop
in Yodfat
At the Wood Carving Workshop in pastoral Yodfat — nestled beside a natural woodland and enveloped in the quiet autumn air — you are invited to slow down, connect with the wood, and work with your hands.
Wood artist Amos Adar will guide you as you create an item of your choice — a spoon, spatula, spreader knife, cooking spoon, or another piece from a variety of options. You will learn about the craft of wood carving, discover basic techniques for safe and proper work, gain hands-on experience with manual carving tools, and embark on a personal creative journey where a raw block of wood gradually takes shape and purpose.
By the end of the workshop, you will take home a hand-carved wooden object—a functional keepsake from a few enriching hours of craftsmanship, focused concentration, and connection to both the material and nature.
The workshop suits beginners and experienced carvers alike, as well as children aged 7 and up. It is especially recommended for parents and children who wish to create together.
Price: 180 NIS per person; 320 NIS per couple (or parent and child)
