Wine List —
“Kishor” Series:
The grapes in the vineyard are harvested by hand, with a moderate ripening that preserves the freshness and natural flavors, and until they reach the bottle, they are put through particularly meticulous processes, to ensure you a pleasant and unique wine experience.
- Kishor Red 85 NIS
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. A classic wine for rich red meat dishes: at the beginning it has slightly greenish, herbaceous aromas. The mouth is light, velvety on the attack and then develops good tannins and leaves a present finish, which almost opposes the relatively gentle ‘entry’ of the wine. This is a wine that is easy to enjoy in its youth, after appropriate percolation, but will benefit from a few more years of maturation in the bottle. For red meat ― entrecote, lamb, mushroom kebab, or rich lentil meatballs and for hard and semi-hard, fatty goat cheeses. Open about an hour before pouring. Serve at 16-18 degrees. 14.5% alcohol. 14 months of aging in French oak barrels. Kishor
- Kishor Rose 85 NIS
A classic dry rose wine. A blend of Merlot and Grenache. Delicate salmon color. The nose is full of fruit and fresh life, with aromas of strawberries and early season berries. The mouth is rounded and soft. Drink well chilled. Very suitable for a whole range of light first courses, but especially wonderful as a Friday afternoon aperitif.
- Kishor White 85 NIS
Dry white wine. A blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and Viognier. Golden in color, beautiful and elegant. Has aromas of citrus, good and balanced acidity and freshness. A fine aperitif suitable for starters such as salads, light snacks and cream cheeses, with chicken, fish in butter and seafood.
Of course, serve well chilled.
- GSM 95 NIS
A classic New World blend, with a touch of gentle roasting, both fleshy and floral. The attack is smooth and the tannins develop nicely in the mouth and add to the wine a pleasant spice and roughness that is reminiscent of the old world. The texture, the fresh and present red fruit flavors, combined with the flavors coming from the wood, make it a wine that is simply fun to drink. This is a wonderfully culinary wine, suitable for light red or white meat, grilled or roasted, but not spicy dishes. For ripe but not spicy cheeses. Also suitable for lentil dishes. Open about an hour before pouring. Serve at 16-18 degrees.
- Mourvèdre 95 NIS
Spicy and full of wonderful black pepper, on a real smoky background. In the mouth the feeling is of a wine with excellent acidity, tightness and focus on fresh, red and sometimes greenish berries. This is one of the most impressive wines in the taste of the Kishor Winery. Excellent with grilled red meats, with long-cooked roasts and more. It will be excellent with heavy pasta dishes or aged cheeses, with a strong flavor. It is advisable to let it cool before serving. Serve at 18 degrees. .
- Syrah 95 NIS
Dry red wine. Powerful red color. Earthy and spicy aroma with touches of black plum, pepper, and tobacco. Full-bodied wine, velvety round tannins, flavors of red fruits and spices, and a long and pleasant finish.
- Viognier 95 NIS
Elegant white wine, pale golden, with fruity aromas and a smooth and tempting structure. At the beginning, light baked aromas rise that quickly give way to scents of yellow-orange fruit, accompanied by tropical and heavier scents only slightly more. The palate is smooth and velvety, but it has a thickness and ‘oiliness’ that takes us to a medium-long finish with acidity and a slight bitterness reminiscent of orange grapefruit. This is an excellent wine for finger foods, various canapés, and Asian fish dishes. Serve very cold as an aperitif or at 10-12 degrees with food.
- Dry Riesling 100 NIS
A pale white wine, with delicate, wonderful aromas of citrus and flowers, and touches of sea salt. The palate is sharp and mineral, but maintains elegance without being extreme in any direction; this is a wine that speaks to everyone. Riesling is a very closed and restrained wine in its youth. It is highly recommended to open it a few hours or even overnight before pouring or to transfer it to a decanter. It will benefit greatly from a few years of aging in a wine refrigerator.
Very suitable as an aperitif or to accompany various salads and fresh and young cheeses.
Serve at 10-12 degrees.
- Semi-Dry Riesling 100 NIS
Aromatic white wine with a pleasant sweetness. Characterized by the aroma of lemon blossom, apple, ginger and honey. Has lively acidity and sweetness that emphasizes the richness of the fruit flavors.
- Cabernet Franc 2018 100 NIS
A deep and attractive red wine. A graceful expression of the Cabernet Franc variety, ripe cherry and raspberry, along with a little anise and pepper seasoning. Soft texture and a pleasant greenish coolness.
High Series:
- Tefen White 2022 120 NIS
Dry white wine. A blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. From the winery’s high series. Fermented in French oak barrels and aged for about 8 months. Very fruity, with aromas and flavors of orange fruit. Medium body, good acidity, round and complex. Very balanced wine. Suitable for any meal. Serve at a temperature of 6-8 degrees.
- Tefen Fortress Vineyard 2020 140 NIS
Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, with a little Syrah: This is a Bordeaux blend that gets a ‘kick’ from the Rhone region; it has a lot of the earthy aspects – Bordeaux greens, with a smoky-meaty touch. The palate is tannic and acidic, very young: the elegant attack gives way to the feeling that this is a wine with weight and body, which nevertheless still maintains freshness and airiness. Very suitable for a variety of grilled dishes – rich cuts, interior parts with complex flavors, and more. Vegetarians and vegans will enjoy it very much as an accompaniment to mushroom and complex lentil dishes. Chill well before pouring. Serve at 16-18 degrees.
- Ein Yifam 2019 230 NIS
Ein Yifam is produced only in special years, with a character appropriate to the style we chose for this wine. This is a long-term wine, which has ‘big’ sides, but maintains the refinement and precision that impressed us during the making. The wine has a smooth and silky attack, very typical of the winery’s work in general. The aromas are reminiscent of red fruit, but over time in the glass they develop and receive fleshy-earthy sides. The fruit carries the wood well, which is revealed here in light aromas of mocha or chocolate. The wine’s finish is tannic and very spicy. This is a wine to drink at any time: near release from the winery – for almost hedonistic enjoyment thanks to its harmonies, or as it matures, for enjoyment of deep-earthy aromas, which will develop in it over the years.
