Thursday, February 20, 9:30 am – 4 pm, Along the Northern Highway
Join us on a fascinating journey along the Northern Highway, guided by tour guide Gaby Zohar, where we will discover the stories of the North, the history, and heritage of the kibbutzim and villages located in the area.
We will start the day at the Aroma Cafe in Big Karmiel, where we will get organized and begin our exciting journey. We will head towards the village of Rama and from there to Kibbutz Sasa, where we will meet a kibbutz member who will share with us the story of the community’s struggle during the war.
The journey will continue through Dovev and Avivim, where we will visit a local winery, and enjoy the fine wine and the stories behind the creation. In the northern part of the route, we will reach Kadesh Naftali and a stunning lookout from Kibbutz Yiftah, where we will hear the complex story of the kibbutz and its confrontation with the hostile Lebanese village during the war.
After that, we will continue to the Ramim Ridge and the Manara, and we will observe construction from the Kibbutz Misgav lookout with a view of the villages of the Ayun Valley adjacent to the fence, which the IDF treated during the war.
The tour will end with a return trip via Kiryat Shmona and Highway 90 to Karmiel.
This is exactly the right time for you for a fascinating experience that will connect you to the past and stories you have not heard!
