Every morning Vered and Murad lovingly bake a variety of pastries, cakes, bread, and quiches such as vegan sourdough bread, lemon and yuzu cakes, lemon squares with raspberries, blueberry muffins, and divine pistachio or chocolate chip cookies.
Vered Baer, originally a kibbutznik from Gesher HaZiv who lived in the United States for many years, and Murad Bishara, originally from Tarshiha, met at the chef restaurant Adelina on Kibbutz Cabri and fell in love.
Vered and Murad’s dream was to set up a bakery and cafe, where even celiac patients, like Vered’s sister, vegans, or people who avoid gluten, could enjoy and indulge with an abundance of fresh and delicious pastries like sandwiches, cakes, and pizzas.

Tupelo is a wheat-free bakery and cafe in the heart of the ancient and picturesque village of Tarshiha, which combines a bakery with a variety of wheat-free products and pastries.
The bakery and cafe were founded by Verad and Murad, a couple in business and in life, whose dream was to create a wheat-free place that everyone could enjoy. Verad is originally a kibbutznik from Gesher HaZiv and she also lived in the United States for many years, and Murad is originally from Tarshiha.
