For years, the Uri Buri Restaurant in Akko has been a place for lovers of the culinary and gastronomy of the sea, and the restaurant is known as one of the best restaurants in Israel and in the world.
The Efendi Hotel, in the heart of the Old City of Akko, is one of the most beautiful and unique hotels in the country, combining in its design the past of the Byzantine, Crusader, and especially Ottoman Empire with contemporary innovations and modernity.
The Hotel has 12 beautiful and unique rooms. Due to the hotel’s structure and being protected for preservation, each room is different and characterized by original or restored decoration with clean, elegant, and soft lines. Some rooms have a sea view and others enjoy the view of the old city.
In the rooms, you will find all the indulgences that a boutique hotel of its level has to offer, both in Israel and around the world.
Accommodation at the hotel includes a local and authentic served breakfast. An impressive wine cellar from the Crusader period. An authentic 400-year-old Turkish bath, a spa for couples, and a rooftop with a view of the Galilee mountains and the Mediterranean Sea from Rosh Hanikra to the Carmel Mountains.
Western Galilee Now is a registered non-profit grassroots organization (NGO) promoting awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food and produce, along with its cultural diversity, its historic traditions and the area’s scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea acting as a Chamber of Commerce to boutique tourism operators in the region.
We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
Our vision is to develop local and foreign tourism based on close cooperation between all the interested parties in the region.
