Across Napoleon Hill, the City of Akko has set up the Lily Sharon Park, a tourist attraction for couples, families or groups for a day of fun. Lily Sharon Park is located in a large, beautiful grove north of Ben Ami Street (Highway 85). The park serves as an outdoor recreation area with picnic tables scattered among the trees.
In the center of the park, at its highest point, children’s playgrounds were placed. Among the options offered in the park are: play areas, walk-able trails, parking, picnic areas, fountains, toilets, amphitheater and event space.
Entrance to the park is free of charge and no prior arrangement is required, as well as bus parking on site. Due to the park’s strategic location and proximity to several points of interest in Akko, the park can serve as a great base for breakfast, lunch or a haven from the heavy heat.
Western Galilee Now is a registered non-profit grassroots organization (NGO) promoting awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food and produce, along with its cultural diversity, its historic traditions and the area’s scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea acting as a Chamber of Commerce to boutique tourism operators in the region.
We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
Our vision is to develop local and foreign tourism based on close cooperation between all the interested parties in the region.
