After years of warm and friendly service in the Julia Winery, there were calls to open the winery in the evening hours and provide a venue for a pleasant and sociable outing.
Finally, out of their love of hosting guests and the desire to have visitors take part in the family’s joie de vivre, they decided to open the balcony for wine evenings.
Today, everyone is invited to enjoy quality wine, a great atmosphere, music, and camaraderie in the evenings as well.
The wine bar is open only on Friday evenings from 7 pm to midnight (reservations should be made in advance).
The Julia Winery is a family-owned boutique winery producing only 11,000 bottles a year, so it is worth visiting us soon. George Araf’s son Anan is a chemical engineer who left his job to focus on wine-making and managing the winery alongside his father.
Western Galilee Now is a registered non-profit grassroots organization (NGO) promoting awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food and produce, along with its cultural diversity, its historic traditions and the area’s scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea acting as a Chamber of Commerce to boutique tourism operators in the region.
We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
Our vision is to develop local and foreign tourism based on close cooperation between all the interested parties in the region.
