Come and enjoy the work and material combined with a workshop, artist talk and a chef’s meal that includes a vegetarian or meat meal with the option of a kosher meal. You can also choose to create a custom event in a lighter atmosphere with a woodcraft workshop and refreshments and sandwiches.
You will enjoy your meal sitting around Tom’s enormous carpenter’s table, enjoying your drink and a talk about carpentry, art and life.
The meal will be a combination of seasonal Galilean dishes with wine and the delicate scent of fresh wood.
The meal will be cooked by Bat Chen Amar.
About Bat Chen Amar:
“The days I spent with my grandmother on her front porch, peeling onions and other vegetables lit my inner spark and love for cooking, eating and feeding others.
Since those days I have worked in kitchens in Israel and around the world, in each one I found a different treasure I keep with me.
In the past several years I have learnt about the world of the gathering and I bring into my kitchen the beautiful, fresh raw material of the area.
“I love tools, I tend to stop in front of shop windows of stores that sell them. They are so beautiful, simple, and clear – their meaning is so direct. There are no ‘handicrafts’ in them. They were not created beautiful, but they are simply beautiful.”
(Robert Hennery, 1926)
