About the Ishu Cafe:
Genadi Kozakevich is a tour guide in Israel and around the world who lives with his family in a small Galilean settlement overlooking the picturesque Hilazon Valley.
Over the years, his desire to engage in culinary, wine, and coffee grew, and after a number of years of giving guided tours, he decided to follow his dream.
He took courses and training abroad during which he set up a small roasting house for quality coffee – Ishu Cafe.
Genadi combines training and conducting meetings, workshops, and masterclasses on the subject of coffee, combined with his other loves – wine from the area and local, authentic food.
Ishu Cafe is a cafe for artisanal roasting and is the result of 15 years of learning, practicing, and loving coffee.
The roasting house is located in Genadi’s house in the town of Eshhar in Misgav. His home is a meeting place for visitors from all over the country who come to the coffee workshops he holds. In his open kitchen, next to the private “Temple of Coffee”, he shares with his guests the knowledge, stories, processes, and various ways of preparation of the most popular drink in the world. The sessions include instruction and personal experience in making quality coffee and in addition, of course, tasting a variety of types of coffee prepared on the spot.
Genadi specializes in adapting the coffee he produces to use in the entire range of existing coffee makers: from various types of espresso machines to alternative coffee makers, from dark urban roasting to light roasting suitable for all types of coffee making, such as pour-over and cold brewing.
