Miriam Aik’s kitchen in Yasmine house is well known in Akko. Come for a unique experience in Miriam’s home and experience Akko for all its wonders.
The large space of the house is used to host families and groups, who are interested in tasting Miriam’s food and hearing her stories.
Miriam will host you at the Yasmine house, a 400-year-old Ottoman building with a high painted ceiling in one of the small alleys of old Akko. You are welcome to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner based on the Akko cuisine. You can choose from dishes such as rice with pine nuts, makluba with eggplant, Shulbato and a variety of dishes that Miriam learned from the women of the family.
You are welcome in groups of eight people or more and by appointment at least two days in advance.
Access to the house includes 40 steps.
Miriam Aik, who was born and raised in Acre, always dreamed of living in an old house with large windows. Her dream came true about 22 years ago when her brother bought an ancient house in Akko and invited her to live there.
