Ingredients:
- Dough:
1 kg white flour
1 teaspoon of dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup olive oil
3/4 – 1 cup hot water
- Za’atar Mixture
1.5 cup of olive oil
4 tablespoons of za’atar
- Pepper Mixture
A cup of sweet pepper paste
2 tablespoons of hot pepper paste (more or less, depending on your opinion)
1 teaspoon tomato paste
2 tablespoons olive oil
**In both mixes, simply mix all ingredients together.
You can add one chopped onion to the pepper mixture.
Preparation:
Place the flour in a large bowl. Add the yeast and sugar and mix. Add the salt and olive oil and mix well.
Add 1/2 cup of water and stir. Add another 1/4 cup of water and put in the dough. Add more water as needed. The dough should be soft. Put about 5 minutes until the dough is uniform and soft. Cover and place in a warm place for at least half an hour.
Divide the dough into 15 balls.
